Disturbing observations
OK I know it's a little early to be this irrelevant, but I had to share:
SKYDEW DRINKING WATER
| pH Value | 6.6 - 7.2 |
| Oil and grease | ND |
| Lead | ND |
| Total Organic Matter | ND |
| Chlorine | ND |
| Coliform | Absent |
And I bet most of you are thinking that doesn't look too bad? Well, look again. It's an analysis label for a bottle of *water*. And it looks fine all the way up to "Coliform", which the label says is "absent", rather than "ND" (not detected). Now surely the implication here is that while the bottle manufacturers can say definitively that there is no coliform in the water, they can only say that they weren't able to detect any oil and grease, chlorine and lead (yes, the poisonous stuff). That, my friends, is not the same as saying that there isn't any in there.
Needless to say, I am disturbed.
