Charity schmarity

Just went to watch a show, Aspects of Broadway at Atmosphere, in celebration of the fact that I now no longer need to study history for a good four months. Speaking of which, the exam went well (surprisingly) and I think I'll get that elusive A. Please please please. As I've said before (and will no doubt say again), exams are crap. Absolute rubbish.

Anyway, it's a photo update today, simply because I have lots to show (thanks to Guido's overeffusive photography skills). Haven't had one for a while, anyway. I mean, I've put up photo albums, but not photos per se...anyway.

The singers

How typically broadway :D

Typical broadway again - lone singer in New York warm spotlight...

Argh, don't take a photo...

OK take a photo, but don't expect me to look at it.

Heeeerre's Will!

And this isn't exactly from last night, it was from (I think) two nights ago when I went to this charity dinner ball held for crippled/disabled children who want to ride horses...which I find fundamentally wrong, somehow, but there you go. Here's Michael...

...who would be mortified if he saw this :D

Charity...bah. What's charity anyway but a way to fulfil our own need to feel good about giving? It's not even an altruistic act at all. I can't imagine a situation in which someone gives to charity without expecting something in return, even if it's just the feeling that they do good, or the pleasure they derive from telling their friends that they donated "so and so much" to charity. Or, in Bill Gates' case, to avoid going to Hell or something. I don't know. Altruism...pah.

6000 hits soon. And also, Happy birthday to James and Cassie, as I've just noticed it's not actually Tuesday anymore. Welcome to the 28th.
