Of fibs and freak food
I have a bottle of nail polish whose label breezily claims to be "Blue Illusion". Upon application, however, this proves to be an unmitigated lie, as the colour turns out to be an indispustable shade of light lavender. This subsequently wreaks havoc with outfit planning, and leads to severe disillusionment, frustration and fashion transgressions, as once the nail polish is applied, I have almost zero motivation to either a) change my clothes to match the colour, or b) remove the nail polish. I should sue for emotional damages...
Although I suppose that the "Illusion" part of the title is a sort of warning that the label is lying. I don't get it, though. Can't they just tell me what colour it is, dammit.
Does anyone actually eat a peanut-butter-and-butter-and-sugar sandwich? Is it just me that thinks that's really strange? And is it at all possible that there are stranger concoctions??
