I want
It seems to me that it would be great fun to have a Place on campus. By this, I mean a Place which I can claim as mine, and can always be found, for example, curled up with Descartes, Cottingham and Hamilton in my lap and an apple in my hand. Currently that Place is my Room, but I would like it to be perhaps on the bough of a certain climbable tree, or under the branches of that particularly beautiful oak tree outside Rootes , or on a bench by the Arts Center, or on the grassy viridian banks next to the crisp cold pond, or on that part of the lawn directly in between two conveniently-placed trees, allowing me the freedom to choose sunlight or shadow, as my mood dictates... It would be desirable, I think, if people were to ask "Where's Rachel?" and receive the gloriously easy answer of "Oh, she's probably at her usual Place".
Not that my room does not possess an adequate amount of Placeness, but Autumn outside is so charming, and I am a romantic.
