A half-baked idea

It dawned upon me that 2003 is a month away from being kicked away into the historical ether, and every second of our lives is melting away into a confused sea of flickering memories. Sometimes I feel as though celebrating the coming of a new year, while neglecting to mourn the disintegration of the last, is ignorant; other times, when I am in a better mood, I call it "optimistic". Oh, stop it, this maudlin end-of-year muse is just over a month too premature.

A silly thought and a silly endeavour, but since I am in this frightfully retrospective mood, and because it is my website, and because I feel like undertaking a new project, over Christmas, I will be putting together a collection of idleThinK 2003's best/most memorable/cheesiest/best written...writings...in loving memory of the year gone past. And since I am a benevolent democrat, you may email me with the title and date of any writings that particularly stuck in your memory, or anything I have ever written that has influenced you in any way (yes, even those that made you think "what a load of rubbish", and inspired you to write a long and involved rant on my comments), or anything that has made you think, laugh, cry, alter your perspective. You are most welcome, also, to do the same for writings by my revered guest writers.

idleThinK turns one year old on January 19th, 2004. She (yes, idleThinK is female) will probably want presents.
