Nothing ventured...

It was one of those days where...

No, I am not qualified to say "It was one of those days", since it is my first experience of such days. People lapse into cliches so easily. (And generalizations, it seems).

So. On my way to the library, a gale-like wind blasted into my back, punching an accidental expletive out of my lungs. In an instant: a mental flash manifested itself, in the dangerous form of irresistable impulse. I leaned backwards into the gale.

For two glorious instants, I defied Newtonian center of gravity theory.

And then, the wind changed course.

I would like to say that I fell on the ground with a resounding bump, which would be (slightly) less humiliating than saying I stumbled ungainly backwards and staggered around like a loon until inner balance restored itself.

People say a lot of interesting things about learning valuable lessons from life. I wonder what they are.

In other news. I have been hoarding this girl's website to myself for the last two months or so, greedily devouring her lush, sultry words (they melt in your mouth, not in your hand). Her stories read like New York jazz music. She lives an exciting rush-hour life. It is time to share.
