Chapter 11

The solution was a beacon of hope in a world deteriorating into chronic madness and inexorable unassumingness. Enterprising individuals immediately set up small, unassuming companies that manufactured many versions of square-shaped roots for all purposes - from small pendant-like ones that could be worn to ward off this savage force of unassumingness, to gargantuan structures crane-lifted onto building rooftops. These were snapped up on the market like hot cakes. People staked out their claims over square shaped roots in their territories, and violent (but unassuming!) border struggles erupted over one particularly fine specimen of a square shaped root positioned squarely (pun unintended) on the border between India and Pakistan.*

* And that was the real root [pun entirely intended] of the conflict between India and Pakistan. However, you will have trouble finding that version of events in history books, possibly because it was so unassuming, but mainly because history books never tell the truth. But on with the story!
