Chapter 12 [Kristel]
Now our observant reader might note again that the wave of unassumingness that had heretofore enveloped the planet, merely caused everything to be unassuming. What happened when the world tried to square root their unassumingness?
The answer rests squarely (pun intended) on determining if unassumingess is rational. For if unassumingness is rational, then square rooting the unassumingness of something will simply cause the unassumingness of the object to lessen (i.e. rooting 9 reduces it to 3). However, if unassumingness is irrational, then in the manner that taking the square root of 2 gives us 1.41421356...., square rooting an unassuming object could have catastrophical consequences.
The Universe scratched its head (insofar as a Universe could be said to have a head and fingernails). It suddenly realised that for all its supposed omnipotence, it Did Not Know The Answer.
