The Whole could not decide whether to name itself Frog Alphega or Frog Omelpha, neither of which sounded particularly attractive. Being a (now) thoroughly normal and sensible frog, it settled on the onomatopaeic 'Ribbit'.
But Indifference Curves are a quintessential structural element of the Universe. It was still completely indifferent to Ribbit's existence and in its mind (and therefore the mind of the populace) bestowed upon Ribbit the very unassuming name of Frog.
