If there were such pagan things as magicians and wizards, I do believe that hairdressers would be your closest bet. It must be magic, the way he transforms my limp, mousy and thoroughly unsatisfactory hair into a bouncy stylish mop of pure, unadultered Cool! And it must be magic, the way he seemingly lops off piles and piles of my precious hair, and the end product is exactly the same length, only much Cooler! And he utters wild, magic words, like "recycling your highlights" and "alter your parting" and "frame your face"; and lo, his words are Done!
In short, I have had a haircut, and it is Cool. Therefore, it must've been magic.
