Do we need photographs to remember? Memory seems such inadequate proof for whether yesterday ever existed.
The word "snapshot" was first used as a predatory term for "snap-shooting" birds. It is fitting, for we stalk and hunt down happy moments, and imprison them in hellish cages of glossy paper.
