Apparently, I've exhausted Philosophy options for my course, unless I volunteer myself for Logic 201, and I'm not into self-flagellation.

In fact, the only sin I'll expunge myself of is spending too much on a haircut, but that goes without saying. So I guess next year is for subsuming modern China with my modern Chinese mind, for macerating the Communists and grimacing with the revolting times.

All is for learning or for nothing; not both.

These moments have been spent with my head agape in startled rictus, the confusion hastening to find level ground; thus, the outpouring of disorder onto the jumble of philosophy notes papering my floor. If I'm to pass these goddamned exams, unrelated turmoil must be repressed, compressed. But emotional abscesses are prone to excess, and festering. Always, the festering; and the artful, literary secretion of my stress in the sibilance.

So long as my head's wide open: for the future - or rather, to the future - one breath at a time.
