Paradox
I've realized something quite fundamental. My profile on Friendster is written specifically appealing to that species of people who send out leering messages en masse to anything that has boobs, to never, ever try to get in contact with me. Thus:
Generally speaking, it makes infinitely more sense to define something by what it IS, rather than by what it ISN'T. Common sense. For example: "That is a chair", as opposed to "That isn't a table, or a spoon, or an orange badger, or a mad goat". This is because what something IS, constitutes the MINORITY of the definition, and what something ISN'T, constitutes the MAJORITY.
This is all relevant. You see, as I am an amiable and lovely individual, the people I want to meet are in the MAJORITY, while the people I DON'T want to meet are in the MINORITY. Therefore, the question that Friendster should be asking is not "Describe who you want to meet", but "Describe who you DON'T want to meet". And because I am big on doing what I believe is right, that is what I am going to do.
THEREFORE.
I do not want to meet psychos, who believe they will be able to date me by sending me a Friendster email reading "will u b my fwen", with that spelling, or variants thereof. That is all.
But it occurs to me that it is exactly that species of people who would send "will u b my fwen" messages that would by definition *not* be the kind of people to read long and complex paragraphs containing words exceeding, you know, two syllables. Thus:
