Thanks for all the largely positive feedback. You are all stellar people. I am getting around to replying everyone, slowly.
and to those who've asked: I've had issues with my passport, so I'm not in Singapore yet. I will be tomorrow. I am, as always, available for coffee and scintillating conversation, and only an email away.
Just to let you know: Around this time four days ago, shamelessly in front of a camera, I was poised with my hand on the bonnet of a sleek silver RM1 million car outside a club -- you know, like I owned it. Then I hitched a lift home, and simmered in the irony.
