"Pixel portraits"

It brings to mind some general truth (supposedly) that there is a varying difference between

a) how we are to others
b) how we think we are to others, and
c) how we would like to be to others.

I'd like to come up with an index for this someday: that is, some kind of scale, or something Gini-Coefficient-esque (say, The rAchel Differential, hah), to measure the magnitude between the three factors. Perhaps, say, if we take (a) as 0 (how things actually are), the difference between (a) and (b) would be a numerical measure of self-delusion, while the magnitude of difference between (a) and (c) might be used to great effect in sociological studies of the socially inept, or certain unfortunate presidents. Possibilities abound!

At any rate, above pixel self-portraits are possibly a rather deluded combination of (a), (b) and (c). Let me know if you manage to calculate the Differential.
