but which way to the lobby?
I am at present in correspondence with a long-time idleThinK reader, who recently confessed a certain tendency to think of me as "kinda slightly sort of not very real". Given that he has never met me in person, I can understand such sentiments, and unfortunately there is little I can do for him, being, as he is, in South Africa. However, for those of you fortunate enough to be in Singapore, there is TANGIBLE PROOF OMG that I am kinda slightly sort of very real!!1!! Specifically, it is in the guestbook of an art museum somewhere on Bras Basah Road, where I left a short, somewhat seditious (and judiciously anonymous) handwritten comment on the sanctity of freedom of speech. If anyone finds it do let me know :~)
In other news, I am in the UK and it is cold and inhospitable, except when the sun catches the rapeseed blanketing the fields just right, and sets the air aflame with violent yellow, as though in rapture for the promise of summer.
