an excuse for negligence

Not that I wish cavernous depths of boredom upon any of you good souls, but the next sixteen days or so are timetabled to be entirely subsumed by topical revision, as so:

24/5: Scientific and Print Revolutions
25/5: Decline of Spain and Dutch Golden Age
26/5: Overview of China's political circumstances
27/5: Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution

etc., up until the 11th of June, after which the use of my brain becomes optional at least until March next year. This is a good thing.

50% of my degree is at stake!!!1!1! This is a bad thing.

Meanings to be gleaned between the lines: posting will become even more sporadic than it already has been. Please bear with me. The other day I received a handful of delightful emails that gave me the same sensation I receive from leaning into a vertiginious summer breeze, or biting into cold watermelon. No, I am not averse to hearing from random readers. The record remains - the most random email I have received comes from a gentle soul from Trinidad and Tobago, a few months ago, who somehow discovered idleThinK and deigned to grace my inbox with the following hypnotic words (reproduced with his permission): "You done take me to icecold shiveryshakery heights of literary ecstasy, mademoiselle. Continue dispensals post haste. Your faithfullest." Ain't that just grand?
