indenture
rachel has been struck by an idea for a small novella, and so creative energies may be severely depleted for the next few months. also held accountable - more so - is the state of abject discombobulation resulting from the looming examination period. this is a period in which rachel shall be incarcerated in a medium-sized hall for a total of 12 hours (writing continuously), all for the sententious reward of an unprepossessing series of numbers and alphabets generally referred to as "grades". rachel is not pleased.
(third person writing is supposed to ensure emotional distance from what would otherwise mount into a seething diatribe against being enslaved to a multitude of timed examinations, also known as the cretinous fucking bane of my academic existence, i'llstopnow.)
