too much to be coherent
Found this on a scrap of paper in one of my numerous handbags. I have no memory of writing it. This happens to me more than is healthy.
Oxford reminds me of Rome - two cities juxtaposed on each other from opposite sides of the timeline. Two ends of a millennium bent in on itself. What gets me most is the sandals and plastic flipflops scuffing a 900 year old courtyard floor, or hotdog stands next to gothic buildings. Between two computer hardware stores, I caught a glimpse of sandstone and stained glass.
Current plans: six weeks in Beijing by myself. The possibilities are endless. For the past week it has been distressing to discover that I actually have less time at my disposal after exams than during. I have also ascertained that Greenland is, you know, not. I fly home on Wednesday.
