disgruntled

four days we spent traversing the most haunted city in England, including on Halloween itself, Halloween's Eve and during all manner of silent witching hours, and still no ghost sighting. i'm still prone to extrapolation, but increasingly i'm beginning to suspect that either a) there are no such things as ghosts, or b) i am being deliberately shunned by supernatural forces, under the auspices of some great cosmic joke of which i am the butt. seriously, i've gone vastly out of my way to put myself in places where i might encounter them. it's like the ghosthunter's equivalent of standing on a hill in the middle of a lightning-and-thunder storm, wearing copper armour. and, nothing. injustice. if anyone has ever seen a ghost, i'd really like to know.

but even emails are insufficient. because it's only empirical experience of the supernatural that will suffice as the cornerstone of any evidence that there are things beyond my explanation. in other words, ghosts as ontological proof of God. interesting, no?
