silence speaks louder than words sometimes, and what I've written for the past two weeks (i.e. nothing) should tell you that life here is gurgling forth noncommitally, sculling about gently through the barren blog-wasteland between 'too personal' and 'too boring'. I'm afraid I'm lapsing again, straying down a route that leads to a place I'm too familiar with, where everything is designated 'publicly unacceptable', and there's so much I'd like to say that I can't anymore. I want that to change, but I'm also, alas, terribly good at procrastination. soon.
one thing, though - I keep converting everything in Malaysia to pounds, which yields the observation that for £2 a day I could feed myself silly and still have spare change for the national daily, but in England I might be doing well to manage a sorry-looking pre-made sandwich from Tesco. This sort of thinking is dangerous, but, as far as I know, is neither documented as a disease or factored significantly into economic calculations - a grave error for which I entreat future academics in related fields to give due consideration as PhD pursuits. initial thesis proposals welcome.
