This is easily my favourite piece of children's fiction, ever, bar none. I read it when I was 8, and have loved it more and more since. Brimming with fiendishly clever wordplay, analogies, metaphors and a healthy dose of bizarreness, woven into a beautifully written story about how to love your world, it's warm, intimate and just magical. I can't do this book enough justice in a review. You'll just have to read it for yourself. |
